The music for the song “Krapas” was born in September 2007 while recording the “Folk N’Rock” album in the “Skamp” studio in Algirdo street.
At the time we had nine songs for the album - only missing that one to have the full set. While recording the drum parts with the drummer Ilja at the same time we were rehearsing a new composition and this song was recorded last. The drum and bass parts were already recorded, thus I continued working on the guitar parts and perfecting the arrangements. I remember the recordings would begin in the afternoon and would last until 3-4 a.m. The sound engineer Omenas would leave me with the studio keys so I could continue recording the guitar parts. This process continued for a couple of months. Everything was wonderful- the records, the mood, the anticipation for the new album, though something had to go wrong… When we came to record the guitar parts for “Krapas” we noticed that the drum recordings were missing. They had mysteriously disappeared, just vanished… We had to again bring in the drums and redo their part. As a result, the drum sound in “Krapas” is slightly different from the remaining album songs.
